Recital and Festival performances include:

Ms. Birula, fluent in lute tablature, has studied the lute works of J.S. Bach’s contemporary, Silesian lutenist, S.L. Weiss. A brilliant composer for the lute, and a lute virtuoso, Weiss’ playing was known to Bach, who had a great interest in the lute and who taught lutenists. Contemporaries compared Weiss’ lute suites favorably with Bach’s keyboard suites.

In 2018, Ms. Birula performed the world premiere of works by S.L. Weiss transcribed for organ at the 330th anniversary of the composer’s birth in his hometown, Grodków, Poland.

In 2018, Ms. Birula joined Luteduo Plus, where she participated in creating new repertoire for organ and plucked instruments, playing both solo and ensemble in festivals around Europe.

Ms. Birula currently studies organ with Professors Zuzana Ferjenčíková and Bas de Vroome at Codarts, Conservatorium of Arts in Rotterdam, Netherlands. She’s still searching for new inspirations and shows no signs of slowing down.
